It is possible to track the source/ media of a reservation by attaching a parameter to the URL of the TableCheck page or a particular menu item/ list posted on media such as Facebook, Instagram etc.
Since the Monthly Report shows the number of reservations from each medium, it is recommended to add the tracking parameter for each medium to the TableCheck URL posted on the corresponding medium.
1. Adding Tracking Paramter to TableCheck Page
Add the following parameters to the end of the URL.
(Example for Facebook) https://www.tablecheck.com/shops/WebID/reserve?utm_source=facebook
|Medium/ Channel||Parameter to be Added|
|Google My Business||?utm_source=google|
2. Adding Tracking Parameter to Specific Menu Item
Step 1: Go to Menu under Setup in TS 1.0.
Step 2: Click the edit button for the menu item for which you want to track the source medium.
Step 3: Select the appropriate medium under Channel in Online tab
When the channel is selected, the tracking parameter for that medium will be automatically attached to the URL as shown below.
When a reservation from this URL is received, the channel will be shown like below under Reservation Details.
The number of reservations from a channel is shown in the Monthly Report as shown below.
